France still popular destination for tourists
Apr 7th
According to the French government the amount of foreign tourists visiting the country this year has kept its position as the number one destination for international visitors, after the decline of 2008.
According to Herve Novelli, the Tourism Secretary of State, “France is still the world’s first tourist destination.”
The government is planning on modernizing the tourism sector to make it more competitive and to enhance the drive in the upcoming months. City breaks to Paris, Nice, Lyon, Marseilles and Cannes will be ever popular with film lovers and romantics from across the world.
All hotels will have new classification in order to conform with international practice, however countries tend to have their own rating systems and may not be like for like.
