Hotter than average in the Canaries

Spanish met office confirms temperatures in the Canaries as the hottest since records began, after ‘extraordinarily warm’ spell.

Temperatures were reportedly 2.4 degrees Celsius above the normal average for the time of year, according to News in the Sun.

Rainfall in Tenerife was also below average for the time of year due to the strange weather pattern.

UK holidaymakers have enjoyed 36 degree temperatures in Tenerife and approximately 30 degree temperatures in Gran Canaria.
