Around a meter of snow has fallen over Austria’s glaciers which are already open for ski season 2009-10. One of Austria’s resorts Obergurgl, reported four inches of powder in village areas.

With temperatures well below freezing, more snow is expected to fall in the next few days, enhancing ski conditions.

Obergurgl is a great place to ski no matter what ability; there are slopes to suit everyone whether, beginner, intermediate or advanced skier. Situated in the Oetz Valley, the Austrian resort has lengthy ski seasons and is also suitable for snowboarders.
