VAT free French cafĩs
Tourists travelling to France this summer will be delighted to hear that the French Government are substantially reducing VAT from 19.6% to 5.5% across the country.
Cafes and restaurants will have more affordable meals, snacks and drinks for the UK holidaymaker and for travellers on city breaks.
Since the exchange rate between pound sterling and the euro declined amid the recession, many travellers have reluctantly ventured to euro-zone holiday resorts.
With many popular ski resorts in France the reduction in VAT will help promote better value for money for many skiers and city break tourists alike during the coming months.
Brits are continually looking for great holiday deals; Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt and Tunisia are popular resorts due to the non-euro currency.
