Summer Skiing in Bikinis
The French ski resort of Tignes opened up with a celebratory bikini ski event, the second summer ski resort in France, Les Deux Alpes opened the week before.
A small number of participants donned their bikinis or shorts with ski goggles, boots, gloves and plenty of sun cream to ride the slopes in Tignes.
The ski area will remain open up until 30th August 2009 from 7:15am to 1pm at the Grand Motte Glacier which is between 3000m and 3500m meters above sea level, and hosts a 20km piste.
