Temperatures soar in the Canaries
As the UK is enjoying a spell of hot weather and hoping it will continue through to the end of summer, the Canary Islands are reporting temperatures which are soaring.
Tenerife is experiencing 30 degree heat and above.
Lanzarote reported a peak of 26 degrees Celsius late last week.
Gran Canaria‚s temperatures were topping 28 degrees.
Fuerteventura had highs in the early 20‚s.
News in the Sun reported; “The Spanish Met Office say this will be a hot summer, but no more so than in previous years.
UK holidaymakers heading to the Canaries will surely be hitting the pool side or the beach to make the most of hot sun whilst on their summer holidays in the next couple of weeks.
