New winter route to Austria from BA
May 27th
Commencing December 5th 2009, British Airways will run the service from Gatwick to Innsbruck, just 5 flights on a weekly basis.
BA currently fly to Vienna and Salzburg, adding Innsbruck to the charter will surely enhance city breaks to the Innsbruck region, as many smaller cities are within easy reach.
The opening of the new route from BA will also be great for UK skiers in the winter months travelling to Austria for the activity season.
With the unfortunate downfall of the economy Austria‚s state airline isnt faring well, so the introduction of the route will continue with promising international tourism.
Lyon: City Break in France

Lyon is situated in the mid-south-east part of France, and is the second largest city, which is a lively cultural hub. The many attractions include, churches and parks and gardens, for those who have a smaller budget.
Getting around is easy, walking is the most popular way to get to and from the attractions, however, always take care when crossing roads, as drivers are more than likely to run red lights! Cycling is becoming a popular means of transport in the city.
Lyon gets its shape from the 2 rivers which run through it, the Rhƒ´ne and the Saƒ´ne. Along the River Rhƒ´ne on an evening are riverboats that act as nightclubs and bars, with several different themes.
There are many wine bars and eateries to suit all tastes and budgets across the city, including English and Irish pubs, live music venues and for local dishes, look out for the bouchon restaurants.

City Break in Malmo

Malmo, the third most popular city in Sweden, home to the newly built Malmo New Stadium will be where the final of Euro 2009 is held. Situated in the in the south west of the country, Malmo was part of Denmark till 1658.
City breakers to the Swedish city, can view many of the historic buildings, such as the Malmohus Castle, and take in the incredible architecture. There are several shopping districts in the city centre as well as plenty of dining opportunities.
The direct train service from Malmo to Copenhagen is approximately a 30 minute journey and runs along the Oresund Bridge, a popular tourist attraction which runs for 10 miles, linking Denmark and Sweden.
Swedish cities are up and coming city break destinations, and are more relaxed, enabling tourists to take in the sites at their own pace. Holding the final of Euro 2009 will undoubtedly bring many football fans and city breakers to the city, promoting it to the rest of Europe, if not the world.
