Equestrian for all in Portugal

Portugal is situated to the west of Spain in south-western Europe and is one of Europe’s top coastline tourist destinations. Portugal isn’t necessarily known to have such an extensive background in equestrian; however equestrian actually dates back to pre-Roman times.

Activity breaks are becoming more popular and there is no exception to equestrian holidays. Surfing in the Atlantic has always been popular; there are also many golf resorts and tennis clubs situated in well-liked tourist areas of Portugal.

Some of the more popular stables in Portugal are situated only 30 minutes drive from Lisbon in the Portuguese countryside, among some of Portugal’s finest vineyards. The riding schools tend to cater for all abilities including disabled, and are a great way to enjoy any activity holiday or break.

Whether you have done horse-riding previously or not, the opportunities to take part are ever increasing.
