Good News for Tour Operators from Recent Survey
A survey carried out by Travelzoo (the internet media company) has revealed Europeans are arranging to go on holiday within the first 6 months of 2009. This is good news for those who are employed in the travel industry.
Over 200,000 people participated in the survey from European countries of the UK, France, Germany and Spain, all the people who took part were subscribers of Travelzoo.
The results also showed that the Germans and British were more likely to book further in advance for their holidays than the French and Spanish who left it up to a month before confirming a booking.
Travelzoo‚s MD in Europe Chris Loughlin confirmed “The survey results bring some much needed good news for travel companies across Europe. Travelzoo‚s European subscribers plan to spend as much as ‚£4.5 billion on leisure travel in the first half of 2009, despite the credit crunch.
