Best Value Destination for Holidaymakers

When thinking about booking a holiday there are several factors in the equation to consider:
1 – Where to go
2 – What the budget is
3 – How expensive will the country be to buy things, i.e. food and drinks?

Thailand seems to be the most reasonable destination to visit on holiday; it’s not overly expensive to get there when comparing it to other destinations of the same distance. It is much cheaper to live there; therefore the cost of the holiday won’t be overly expensive either.

Post Office Travel Services recently completed a study on 15 long-haul destinations; this included 8 things - meals and drinks. The total amount of money spent was £39.89 in Thailand. The highest priced items that were bought were the same as Thailand was Barbados, with a total of £153.73.

With the pound struggling against the euro many people are choosing to travel to mid and long haul destinations as you get more for your money.
