Turkey Popular with Tourists in 2008

Turkey is known for different cultures, historical and westernised amenities, as well as the golden sands and Mediterranean and Aegean Seas which is why it‚s a popular tourist destination.
In 2008 Turkey had more than 26 million holidaymakers, making the tourism income of $21 billion in a year. With tourism having a growth rate of 2% across the world, Turkey saw an increase of 13% alone.
Ismet Yilmaz, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, believes Turkey is one of the top ten countries of the world, in terms of international and domestic tourism visitors and tourism income.
The holidaymaker hotspot of Antalya received its 9th million visitors last month, thus making it as popular as Egypt which has wondrous, cultural and historic monuments such as the Pyramids.
Air New Zealand Test Biofuel

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority of New Zealand has praised Air New Zealand for a remarkable and victorious test flight using Biofuel, a blend of 50:50 second-generation Biofuel and standard jet fuel.
The Boeing 747 aircraft took off from Auckland International Airport shortly before lunchtime (NZ time) on the 2 hour test flight. Various tests were carried out before during and after the flight to fully asses the results of the Jatropha Biofuel.

Holiday Bargains at European Ski Resorts

Cheap holiday deals and heavy snowfall has meant Ski Resorts across Europe are getting busier than previously anticipated. Last minute ski and snowboard fans are hitting the piste while accommodation is cut-price and amazing deals can be obtained.
The recession has caused lodgings and hotels to cut prices in order to gain some capital this winter,all inclusive holidays are tipped to be the better deals due to the weak pound, however half board holidays are still popular.
The vast amount of snowfall this year means skiers can enjoy the best season for over 20 years; skiers in selected parts of Europe are enjoying as much as 11ft of snow.
